Etruscan Trails in Central Italy
A Brand new itinerary for 2020

We are thrilled to be launching our brand new 8-night tour for next May,  starting and finishing in the Eternal City, and following in the footsteps of the Etruscans - an ancient civilization which populated the centre of Italy long before the Romans. We visit UNESCO World Heritage tombs, walk along sunken Etruscan roads and explore the outstanding towns of Civita di Bagnoregio and Orvieto which were both important Etruscan settlements. Our hikes take us through the rolling landscape of central Italy, with its olive groves, cypresses and vineyards as well as to the tranquil waters of Lake Vico and Lake Bolsena. We finish in the Val d'Orcia, a strikingly beautiful valley in the southern part of Tuscany and home to some of Italy's most celebrated wines.

The tour is scheduled to run just once next year from 8th - 16th May and anyone joining could certainly extend their holiday by seeing more of Rome, or exploring Siena and Florence.  If you would like to think about two tours, the dates work well with our Lucca, Volterra and Elba tour which starts on May 17th in Pisa, and which explores an area of Tuscany further north.   We expect this new tour to be very popular so please contact us early if you are interested in this itinerary. Details of our two other new tours for 2020 will follow soon!

If you still have October in your sights for a walking holiday this year then we have a couple of spots available on The Wilds of Abruzzo - Level 4: 12 - 20 October and
The Jewels of Piedmont - Level 2: 23 - 30 October.  Call us now to book your place!

Hike in the Maritime Alps in the spring!
We've moved our Level 5 hike for 2020 to June, and given it a new name: France and the Maritime Alps.

If you had your eye on hiking over the Alps from Provence to Piedmont then we have changed the dates for next year from October to June 19-27, when the landscape offers up rich green pastures and carpets of wild flowers.
