Hiking in Autumn

make the most of harvest time in italy

Due to some issues with our mailing house we want to make sure that everyone who would like to see our new brochure for 2020 has received one.  If you don't have one please email annabel@hedonistichiking.com and she will post one to you.

Autumn in Italy is simply one of the best times to hike, with burnished leaves filling the beech forests, ripening fruit on the vines and the mellow sun casting long shadows over the rolling wheat fields and olive groves.  We've already finished our tour in the Austrian and Italian Dolomites and are turning our attention now to Tuscany and Southern Italy for our next adventures.

This month's newsletter looks at some of the spectacular gardens we visit on our tours, many of which are famous throughout Europe. The photo above is taken from La Foce, a garden of remarkable beauty which we will visit on our brand new Etruscan Trails tour next May.  We are also offering advice for those joining our new trips next year in Sardinia and Corsica on where to stay and best things to do before the tours start.

If you still have October in your sights for a walking holiday this year then we have a couple of spots available on The Wilds of Abruzzo - Level 4: 12 - 20 October and
The Jewels of Piedmont - Level 2: 23 - 30 October.  Email us now to book your place!

Some tours for 2020 are now fully booked, so don't wait too long to email us if you are planning a hike for next year.  We'd love to hear from you!

An Overview of Olbia

Similarly, those joining our new Island of Corsica tour can find tips from the information on our Olbia City Page

Olbia is a pretty town situated on the north-east side of Sardinia and has a good international airport. This is where we will meet the group for our Corsican hike as it is an easy transfer and ferry crossing from one island to the other.
